The French subsidiary of Coca-Cola European Partners (CCEP) chose Markem-Imaje laser coders for marking aluminum cans at its Pennes-Mirabeau facility, near Marseille.
This large European beverage producer required the ability to code the 120,000 aluminum cans its Marseille factory produces every hour. Reliable equipment was a necessity to keep up with this pace. The factory had been using inkjet printers that were becoming obsolete, and the company was looking for a more precise and efficient solution that required less maintenance.
The Pennes-Mirabeau site replaced its four inkjet printers with two Markem-Imaje SmartLase F500 fiber laser coders which helped them to enhance traceability, achieve zero downtime, optimize costs and be more environmentally friendly.
